Honda CB 250 RS Cafe Racer in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire for sale

Honda CB 250 RS Cafe Racer Rolling Project (VEM 181V) Selling to contribute towards a house deposit. Most the work has been done by myself and my farther. Both mechanical engineers. Work carried out on the bike: Replaced drive shaft seal - required full engine strip and splitting the engine casing. Was one reason why many of these bikes were 'written off' due to the high labor costs of changing this seal. Replaced complete counter shaft assembly - commonly the teeth would badly wear. Again required full engine strip to replace. New clutch springs New front and rear tyres (200 miles old) New gold chain and sprockets New speedo New chrome cafe racer style dropped handle bars Powder coated frame Side mount number plate and brake light No battery - have instead fitted a capacitor to help styling (does not require battery as its kick start) Two fiberglass seats - both are exactly the same, one has however been reinforced. Stripped back the black paint off the engine, polished up aluminium casing and sprayed engine head matt black. New engine gaskets all round Motard exhaust system New stainless steel cap head screws all round. Mounted and wired single front headlight. Checked all internal engine components and chain timings. Ultrasonically cleaned the carb Chrome rear suspension The bike starts on the first or second kick and runs very smoothly. MOT expires 28/8/14. Have only covered 200 miles since last MOT due to work commitments and lack of time. Bad bits: There is a small oil leak from the rocker cover on the engine. I am selling as a 'rolling project' Bike comes with boxes of many various spare parts bike is SORN. v5 present very cheap to insure and very good on fuel!
